The Sudbury Writers’ Guild would like to thank everyone who submitted a story or poem to our Hospital Mural project. We received over 40 submissions. A small committee of authors and editors are currently reviewing the submissions and we will be in touch with the results in coming weeks.
The Sudbury Writers’ Guild would also like to thank the City of Greater Sudbury, If not for their support, this project would not be happening and your voices, and memories would not be heard.
Thanks again and keep on writing
President Sudbury Writers’ Guild
We have extended the deadline for submissions to the Sudbury Hospital Mural Project until the end of July to allow more people time to submit. We have a broad cross-section of entries from people with a connection to the St. Joseph Hospital and would like to give more people an opportunity to submit.
You can find the links to submit in French and English in the menu above.
We’d like to thank and acknowledge the support of the City of Greater Sudbury on this project.
Like so many other things in this time of coronavirus pandemic, the Sudbury Writers’ Guild has moved our meetings online.
We’ll be hosting our second online meeting using the Zoom app tomorrow night – Thursday April 30th, 2020 beginning at 6:30 pm.
We’ve posted details to the meeting in the Event section of our Facebook group here – https://www.facebook.com/groups/SudburyWritersGuild
If you’re new to the Sudbury writing scene and want to sit in, please come out (virtually) and check us out. If you haven’t been on a Zoom meeting before (lucky you!) then here is some information to get you started.
Zoom is available for PCs as well as tablet and smartphones. If you have any questions, give us a shout – here – on our contact page (scroll to the bottom) http://sudburywritersguild.com/about/ or come find us on Facebook.
Look forward to seeing people tomorrow night!
