Rosanna Micelotta Battigelli is an executive member of the AICW (Association of Italian-Canadian Writers) and a professional member of the Canadian Authors Association. She is a charter member and past president of the Sudbury Writers’ Guild (SWG). She is also an alumna of The Humber School for Writers, and her fiction has appeared in over a dozen Canadian anthologies, including Sudbury Ink (SWG), Along the 46th (Latitude 46 Publishing) and A SECOND COMING: Canadian Migration Fiction (Guernica Editions). Her latest stories appear in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for Teachers and in VIA’s (Voices in Italian Americana) special issue dedicated to contemporary Italian folktales (Bordighera Press).
Rosanna’s novel La Brigantessa, awarded an Ontario Arts Council Writers’ Works in Progress Grant, will be published by Toronto’s Inanna Publications in fall 2018. Rosanna will have two books published by Harlequin UK in spring and summer 2018, and one of her children’s stories has recently been accepted by a Canadian publisher with a fall 2018 release. Her short stories will appear in three anthologies in 2018.
