Writer, and author, Kenn continues to write following his self-published memoir “When My Son
Died, 1985.” Kenn was first published at the tender age of fifteen with his poem “O Great Spirit”
and followed with university publications and anthologies across the United States of America
during the pursuit of his master’s degree.
Kenn’s strength is the application of his first language, the Odawa, (Ottawa), one of three
dialects of the Three Fires Confederacy, with Ojibwe, and Pottawatomie, rounding out the Great
Lakes Algonquian language.
Kenn’s cultural legacy comes from his lineage as healers, interpreters, commerce and warriors.
Kenn is called upon regularly across North America as a cultural and spiritual leader. Kenn is
recognized as a quiet and humble thinker and an oratorial presence.
Much of his language is the thread that forms across his literary endeavors as he continues to
write follow up material.
Father of three children, Kenn is married to Lorraine, his wife of 42 years.
