Join us on Thursday, November 25th in classroom M3340 at Collège Boréal or via Zoom for our monthly Sudbury Writers’ Guild Meeting.
The doors/Zoom open at 6pm and the meeting beings at 6:30 PM.
Please take a moment to RSVP via this Google Form https://forms.gle/Cyo7H36FjoPAgW6H6 to let us know if you will be attending in person or via Zoom. The Zoom link will be emailed to you, but we are re-using last month’s link if you already attended via zoom.
We’ll be taking a few minutes of the meeting to finish discussing the book – Son of a Trickster from last month’s meeting. Also if you have writing from your youth or a story of how you came to be a writer at a young age we will be sharing these examples of juvenilia (e.g. – works produced by an author or artist while still young.) not to be confused with juvenile writing (e.g – childish; immature).
If you need some inspiration or just a good laugh I highly recommend you check out the original episodes from the CBC podcast back in 2014 – https://grownupsreadthingstheywroteaskids.com/cbc-episodes/
There was an episode recorded live in July 2017 in Sudbury. Sadly its not on the CBC site anymore – but you can listen to it on Spotify – https://open.spotify.com/episode/2SqPYHRb8lripFc1G3qhzS?si=b9ab33a12ab445de
You can also see individual performance from the Sudbury event including some readers that didn’t make the edited down podcast. You might even spot a few familiar faces in the audience.
